‘Setha, Courtesy of Bothos’ is a jewellery store located at 50 Wyndham Street in Hong Kong’s Central district.
Launched in May 2009, the store is the crowning gem of the Bothos project just a few minutes walk from the original Bothos concept store at 20 Hollywood Road.

‘Travel’ is the founding inspiration behind the Bothos concept, in particular the countless journeys along the Silk Road where cultural exchanges between the East and West originated. It is from the same Silk Road that the name Setha is derived, ‘seta’ being Italian for ‘silk’. The addition of the syllables ‘TH’ is a poetic license ever-present in the Bothos world infusing ideas as well as the words used to describe the Bothos understanding.
Setha, Courtesy of Bothos is a lounge within the Bothos concept where an authentic experience in a magical atmosphere was born. Created by a combination of the interior’s beauty, selective choices of art on display, and the jewellery itself, guests can see and breathe the Bothos vision.

The discipline of Art is indispensible to transmit and exalt the world of Bothos. To reflect its passion and involvement with art, like at Bothos, Setha regularly runs art shows based on the cooperation with the nearby art galleries, artist showcases and performances in line with the Bothos concepts.
The store welcomes its guests with a beautiful display of antique birdcages in the window and stunning a jewellery display, complimented with a private collection of Chinese furniture and decorative arts. Juxtaposed with modern sculptures by Italian Artist Romano Costi, the store realises an ideal mix of a modern yet antique atmosphere. Towards the back of the shop a Venini vintage chandelier from the 1950’s belonging to the Venice casino gives light to a cozy lounge area where customers can browse through books illustrating the Silk Road philosophy, or if customers prefer, an opium bed in the back garden can be enjoyed peacefully, if not in quite the same way as its original purpose.

The idea behind Setha, Courtesy of Bothos is to bring to light an amazing collection of vintage and antique jewellery pieces bought in past years by Mr. Luigino Bottos, the brain behind the brand, as well as created by his team of extraordinary artists.  Such pieces of jewellery are reinterpreted and elaborated into a contemporary creation that makes them wearable in any cosmopolitan occasion. The result is a sophisticated and elegant fusion of old and young, East and West, and precious and easily wearable styles. This incredible fusion is accomplished by blending Asian stones such as Jade and Amber with Italian made silver chains, or by combining vintage amulets with rows of sandalwood rosary beads from Tibet imbuing the piece with a scent of spirituality. Within the Bothos treasure trove can be found all types of amber, jade and corals, pearls and antique crystals, ivory and diamonds, in balanced creations that combine antique and modern, East and West, as well as couture and design.

Every piece of jewellery is labelled with a Bothos silver tag certifying quality, authenticity and origin, attesting to a strict selection process and marking that the original piece had been modified. Every piece of jewellery is designed and conceived at Bothos’ headquarters, ‘Elaborathory’, in a dedicated space lab where all pieces are made by hand guaranteeing their uniqueness. In addition to the jewellery, all decorative items, including furniture, birdcages and artifacts are for sale, as well as a special line of Bothos clutches.

Setha, Courtesy of Bothos also offers a naturally-made cosmetics line produced in Thailand, rooted in a symbolic idea of Pan-Asian culture, unique and precious in the Thai White Lotus used, a rare and noble flower. Blending it with nutmeg, lemongrass and ginger conjures up a soft and sensual unisex scent with memories of the magical Silk Road.
